​Our First-Ever Remote Worship Service was Perfect!

​Our first-ever remote worship service was perfect… just absolutely perfect!  You can see the video here on our Facebook page.  Tomas read the story of Jesus healing the blind man (John 9:1-41), Cassandra delivered the message, while Ryan played his keyboard and a chorus of birds sang in lieu of a choir! 

Then, as now, the question was raised “Why was this man born blind?  Why do these bad things happen to people?”.  Jesus replied: “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do.”  And then he opened the blind man’s eyes.

As Cassandra said, “In the midst of this corona virus, so many of us look for someone to blame. We look for a reason to explain why this terrible thing is happening. That’s the wrong question. Instead, look for the good things that God is doing in our midst… There is grace, there is power, there is glory to be found… for God is in our midst and with us still.”
