Following the service on 6/7/2020, Reverend Helen Rose Moore convened a Congregational Meeting. The purpose of the Congregational meeting was to elect an Interim Pastor Nominating Committee. Proctors (seen above) were standing by to record the votes by cell phone. The motion is introduced here. Then we broke for the voting process, and resumed to report the results here.

On June 7, 2020, we began broadcasting from our own sanctuary again, with Reverend Helen Rose Moore preaching on "Christ in the Chaos". See the video here. Rev. Moore has graciously agreed to serve as the Moderator of our Session, as we begin our search for a new pastor.
Woodforest Presbyterian Church gathered again on Facebook Live for a virtual worship service celebrating Pentecost - for which everyone wore flame-red! See the video (here) that marks Cassandra's last day as our minister. She is the longest-serving minister in the history of Woodforest Church. We pray for all of us on our new, and separate, paths.
Happy Mother's Day! Woodforest Presbyterian Church celebrated the Fifth Sunday of Easter - and Mother's Day - together on Facebook Live. See the service here.
Even though churches now have permission to meet in person, Woodforest Presbyterian is going to take extra precautions. We plan to worship together on Facebook Live until further notice. Please forward your prayer concerns to Cassandra at 713-444-1254 or pastor@woodforestpc.org.
This week, our remote Worship Service moved indoors because of the stormy weather. In fact, the live broadcast was interrupted several times as the wifi went down. No matter, we were still able to celebrate the Second Sunday of Easter as the Church Together! The video(s) can be played here and here. |
