Mission

Ministries of Woodforest Presbyterian Church

The root of human suffering is our alienation from each other and from God. At Woodforest Presbyterian Church, our goal is to ease this suffering by providing food, clothing, emergency shelter, training, education, and other comfort and support.  Our mission projects are local, national and international in scope.  They are supervised by the Session, the Presbytery, the Synod, the General Assembly, and by other worthwhile organizations.

The mission work of the church is not separate from its other activities – it is an integral component of everything we do.  Our congregation is fully informed and engaged in the activities of the Mission Committee at all times.  Mission work itself conveys a gift to the giver, and we all need to be included in that blessing.
